In case you haven't heard, we've recently launched Personal Sick Pay; our brand new income protection aimed at clients in riskier jobs who can be more expensive to insure.
Personal Sick Pay has been designed to help us offer quality and affordable income protection to even more clients. And the feedback we've had since launch has been really positive, with a number of people telling us Personal Sick Pay is almost too good to be true...

- We don't need evidence of earnings for the first £1,000 of cover. We call this the Personal Sick Pay £1,000 guarantee, which could be particularly attractive to people who find it harder to prove how much they earn, like the self-employed. What's more, we won't make any deductions to the first £1,000 if you receive sick pay, state benefits or any other insurance. The guarantee can also help protect you against a genuine drop in your income.
- Just like our other income protection products, Personal Sick Pay comes with an own occupation definition of sickness. Providing you were working before you fell ill, you'll keep your own occupation definition and your full benefit for your entire claim. And if you get sick during the first year of being out of work (for example, if you're temporarily unemployed or on a career break) you'll still keep your own occupation definition of sickness.
- If money is an issue, we can recommend our budget version which comes with all the same features and benefits as our full version with just one difference: any individual claim is limited to 24 months.
